The Law Society is committed to bringing a voice to issues affecting the justice system. The Rule of Law and Lawyer Independence Advisory Committee launched an annual essay contest in 2015 for BC secondary school students to reaffirm the significance of the rule of law and to enhance students' knowledge and willingness to participate actively in civic life.

People’s Law School encourages eligible students to participate in the Law Society’s essay contest.
